Leslie Vernon "Boompa" Morgan

Leslie Vernon "Boompa" Morgan, age 95 of Ozark, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016. He was born May 6, 1921 in Moberly, Missouri, the son of Harry and Gracie (Duggins) Morgan. Mr. Morgan served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. After serving in the armed forces, "Boompa" was a self employed pilot. Survivors include: his children, Vernon Morgan of Springfield and Karen Morgan-Aquiluna of California; two brothers, Charles Morgan of Arizona and Alvin Morgan of Arizona; a sister, Phyllis Chase of Illinois; two grandchildren, Matthew Morgan of Arizona and Valeria Boss of Ozark; and four great grandchildren, Evan, Addison, Jay and Brian. Boompa was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
