Leonard Ray Blevins

Leonard Ray Blevins, age 88, passed away May 5, 2012, in his home in Highlandville. He was born to Edward and Lona (Viles) Blevins on June 5, 1923, in Christian County. He was united in marriage on September 26, 1943, to Nona Ellen Cook. The love of these two people lasted 68 years, and resulted in 8 children, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Leonard owned a shoe shop in Ozark for many years, known as Leonard"�s Shoe Shop. He loved to fish and farm, and loved to spend time with his family. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Nixa. Leonard is survived by his wife, Nona, his children, Carolyn Bass, Highlandville, Kenneth Blevins, and wife Mary Jo, Highlandville, Gloria Keithley, and husband Mike, Ozark, Alvin and Cathy Blevins, Highlandville, Allen Blevins, Highlandville, Dale Blevins, Highlandville, and Marsha Tayman, Ozark. Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Ronald. A visitation will be held, Monday May, 7, 2012 between 6 P.M. and 8 P.M. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Funeral services will be May 8, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
