Leonard was born in Stuart Neb. to Albert and Ethel (Spangler) Baumeister on June 30, 1943. He lived his childhood on a farm outside of Ava, MO. When the family sold the farm, Leonard joined his parents in making their home in Ozark, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Garnette (Baumeister) Kester of Wichita KS.

Leonard spent his life serving others, he previously worked at both Venture and Wal-Mart, but what he loved was the time he spent at the Ozark Senior Center helping deliver meals to folks that were home bound until his health declined. Leonard was always ready for a Bingo game, a trip to Wal-Mart, a strawberry shake, and visiting with others making new friends everywhere he was.
The family would like to express our deepest thanks to the wonderful staff at North Park Village Assisted Living for their love, care, and compassion that they provided to Leonard along with the staff of HPC Hospice and Palliative Care.
