Leo A. Hodge, age 88 of Nixa, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 15, 2013. He was born March 28, 1924 in Branson, the son of Alfred and Isabell (Firman) Hodge. Leo served his country in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He served in World War II, including Battle of the Bulge and in the Korean War. After his military career, Leo worked in construction. He loved going to church and reading the Bible. His granddaughter, Ashley, was his pride and joy. Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Magaline Hodge, Nixa; his daughter, Della Marie Roush and husband Ronald, Nixa; his granddaughter, Ashley Roush, Nixa; three brothers, John Hodge and wife Betty, Eugene, Oregon, Lewis Hodge and wife Joyce, Ozark and Troy Hodge and wife Jane of Manor, Arkansas. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Reverend Bill Gilkerson officiating. Burial, with full military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
