Lena Lea Porter

Lena Lea Porter, age 96, of Springfield, formerly of Ozark, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012. She was born December 26, 1915 in Bloodland, Missouri (now Ft. Leonard Wood), the daughter of Harry Edwin and Pearl Mae (Gan) Vaughan. On September 6, 1938, she and Ward Robert Porter were united in marriage. They moved to Brookline, then Willard, moving to Ozark 40 years ago. Lena was a member of First Baptist Church of Willard. Survivors include: two children and their spouses, Denis and Loretta Porter, Springfield, and Shirley and Bob Fouraker, Willard; four grandchildren, Allen Porter and Lisa, Annette Warnke, Sheryl Buttram and Jeff, and Karen Choate and John; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Vaughan and Jean; three sisters-in-law, Neva Vaughan, Maxine Vaughan, and Helen Brush; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward, in 1994; nine brothers and sisters, and her parents. A family graveside funeral will be Monday, January 30, in Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 6:00 PM Sunday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
