Leanna Switzer

Leanna Switzer, age 76, passed away in her home on June 19, 2023. She was born to Claude L. Teter and Mildred (Richardson) Switzer on May 11, 1947, in Moberly, MO.

Leanne and Kenneth met when they were 10 years old where his dad was working on her parent’s house. Kenneth and Leanna got married in 1966 and spent 57 years together. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She made several quilts for the kids and grandkids to last a lifetime.

Survived by her husband Kenneth Switzer; daughter Kendra Lee Stewart; son Scott Switzer; grandchildren Cheyenne Stewart and Mariah Stewart; mother-in-law Dorothy Switzer, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Claude L. and Mildred Teter; sister Phyllis Rost; brother-in-law Michael Rost; brother Randy Teter; father-in-law Charles Switzer; brother -in-law Warren Neighbors Jr.; sister-in-law Jeannette Neighbors.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Mount Shiloh Baptist Church in Darksville, MO. A funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation with Pastor Cliff Day officiating. A burial will follow the service at Darksville, Cemetery.
