Fremont Hills

Larry E. Goss, 81, of Fremont Hills, Missouri, passed away on March 18, 2025. He was born on March 28, 1943, in Seymour, Missouri, to Esther and Roy Goss.

Larry graduated from Mansfield High School in 1961 and soon after opened Larry’s Standard Service. In 1967, he began working for Ozark Airlines, but his entrepreneurship led him to construction in the 1970s. In 1980, he founded Goss Construction, where he began building homes until his retirement.

While Larry was a talented builder, his greatest passion was always cars. Whether he was restoring a neglected Chevy, swapping stories at car shows, or tinkering in his garage, he found joy in the rumble of an old engine and satisfaction in a job well done. His love for classic cars earned him numerous awards at shows across the state, and one of his prized restorations was even featured in Late Great Chevys.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Roy Goss, and his wife of 41 years, Kim Elizabeth Goss.

He is survived by his former wife, Elaine Hall, and their two daughters, Michelle Carder and her husband Layne, Stephanie Goss-Gainor and her husband Michael. He is also survived by his daughter Brittney Reuthebuck, and his son, Tyler Reuthebuck.

Additionally, Larry is survived by his grandchildren, Alex Carder and his wife Nina, Rachel Carder and her husband Jake, Peyton Carder, Sidney Gainor, Quinn Gainor, Parker Reuthebuck, and Kennedy Reuthebuck, as well as his great-grandson, Allesandro Carder. He is also survived by his brother, Bobby Goss and his wife Robin, along with his two nieces, Courtney and Lindsay.

The family is hosting A Celebration of Life which will be held on Friday, May 2nd, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Cassidy Station 5176 N. Fremont Road, Nixa, MO. In honor of Larry, please arrive in your favorite hot rod.
