Lance Richards Stark, age 69 passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, November 16, 2017. He was born on September 26, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to James L. Stark and Kathryn Richards Stark. He was the oldest of three children.
He graduated high school in Lincoln Nebraska and went on to attend State College in Pennsylvania. He spent over 30 years in the Air Force and the reserves but retired early from Travis Air Force Base after being diagnosed with cancer. Lance served his country with pride and honor.
Although Lance had lived all over the country and in Europe, he moved back to Missouri after retiring and spent the remainder of his life here.
He is survived by a brother Brady Stark, a sister Gayle Stark, a daughter, Sara Stark Fry, four grandchildren in California, his wife Cindy Stark of 20 years, her children Jeremy Woods and Angie Murfin, five grandchildren and two step grandchildren in Missouri as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Bridget Russell.
Lance was passionate about cars, politics and military history. As a former mechanic in the military, he was known to be able to fix anything. Per Lance's wishes, no public services are planned. Cremation is under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
