Kody Neal Dunn

Kody passed away at his home at 8:45 PM on November 28, 2012 after a short illness. He was born August 14, 1985 in Denver, to Kelly Neal Dunn and Kimber L. "Ott" Dunn. Kody was born with spinabifida and was bound to a wheel chair his whole life. But now his is free from his earthly body and is running and leaping over the hills of his new home Kody claimed Christ as his personal Savior from a very young age. Kody moved to Covington, Georgia when he was fifteen months old, then came to Ozark at age fifteen. Kody spent his senior year at Nixa High School and graduated in 2003. He continually was working to further his education. Kody loved Southern Gospel Music and always looked forward to singing in church and in nursing homes. His favorite Bible verse ws Philippians 4:13 (I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.) Kody was preceded in death by his father Kelly N. Dunn and a sister, Ryan Capps. He is survived by his mother, Kimber Ott, of Ozark; step mom, Dana Dunn of Covington, Georgia, who claimed him as her No. 1 son; 4 sisters, Kasey Burt and husband Paul and Kristin Dunn of Covington, Georgia, Alisha Kean of Nixa and Cayman Ott of Ozark; grandparents, HF and Elaine Dunn of Ozark, Margorie David of Hartville and Jack and Gerogia Ott of Ozark; great grandmother, Juanita Hutchins; Granddaddy and Grandma Haven and Betty McCowen; aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends. The family thanks all of the staff and workers at THE ARC of the OZARKS and WSDP, and especially Marty Young of Next Step for the wonderful care they have given Kody. Instead of flowers it would be very much appreciated to make donations to The ARC of the Ozarks, 1501 E. Pythian, Springfield, MO 65802 or The Miracle League of Springfield, Springfield-Greene County Park Board. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Stafford Cemetery, Bradleyville. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday in the funeral home.
