Kent Alden Rainey, age 61, of Ozark, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017. He was born April 9, 1955, the son of Homer and Catherine (Craig) Rainey. He graduated from Ozark High School, and continued to live in Ozark throughout his life. Kent was a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering with just about anything mechanical. He was interested in space and astronomy, and enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing, and game hunting. He was always ready to entertain with his jokes.
Survivors all of Ozark include: Two daughters, Misty Thompson and husband Jerry, and Kelsay Williams; two grandchildren, Trey Alden Rainey and Michael Chanler White; his mother, Catherine Rainey; a sister, Joyce Rainey; a brother, Craig Rainey and wife Mary Jo; and significant other Nina Williams.
His father, Homer Carl Rainey preceded him in death, as well as a grandmother, Mary Rainey.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, March 9, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 10, at Selmore Cemetery, south of Ozark.
