Ken Simons, age 77 of Ozark died March 25, 2016. He was born June 1, 1938 in Lamar, Missouri.
Ken was predeceased by his daughter, Eden; his father Wilbur; and his stepfather, Earl French. His survivors include his wife of 55 years, Phyllis, two sons, Kreg and wife Cindy and Jon and grandson Race; his mother, June (Rose) Simons French; and brothers Neil and Ron of Lamar.
Ken, AKA "Pops" was well-known in the world of off-road motorcycling, having owned his own shop and having helped organize many cycling events. He was a local cattle rancher who, with the "aide" of his beloved dogs, CD and Hanna, really enjoyed watching baby calves play tag and king of the hill. Ken was a lifetime sports fan, especially of the Lamar Tigers, MSU Bears, Mizzou Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Humane Society, St, Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A family graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in Selmore Cemetery, with Pastor Terry Kendrick officiating.
