Kenneth Eugene Chaffin

Kenneth Eugene Chaffin, age 81, of Ozark, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 22, 2012, surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born November 18, 1930, in Ozark, the son of Jody Chaffin and Bessie Russell Chaffin. He is survived by his wife, Darlyne (Fergerson). They were united in marriage November 30, 1950. He is also survived by his children, Cindy, Paula and Kirk and their spouses, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Juanita Knox Chaffin, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jody and Bessie Chaffin, a sister, Joella Chaffin Pierce, and brothers, Russell Chaffin and Gerald Chaffin. Kenneth worked for Lily Tulip Sweetheart Cup for 38 years. He also taught high school boys Sunday School Class for many, many years and was a deacon at First Baptist Church Ozark. He had been a member there since 1950. He also worked with Little League Boys Baseball for several years. The family would like to thank his loving nurses, Michael Newton and Sharon McNew, whom he loved with all his heart. Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 PM Friday, October 26, in First Baptist Church Ozark, with the funeral at 1:00 PM on Friday. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Troy Rhoden and Pastor Jim Jeffries. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
