Kendra “Crickett” Giles, 64, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away on October 17th. She was born on March 9, 1960, in Plattsburgh, New York as the only child to Delmar and Esther Whitney.
Crickett graduated from Nixa High School in 1978 and married Chuck Giles shortly thereafter, where they settled and raised their family. Their home was a hub for the kids’ friends and she cherished that season of her life.
In addition to her devotion to her family, Crickett actively served her community, serving as a past President to the Nixa Chamber of Commerce as well as various boards and committees to bring a fresh revitalization project to Ozark, Missouri’s downtown and Main Street project.
Crickett had a passion for sports and from Mighty Mights and Little League all the way to the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals, she always made it clear who she was rooting for. She was an animal lover with a soft spot in her heart for Basset Hounds.
Crickett is preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Esther Whitney. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Giles; sons Jacob Giles, James Breeze (April), and Tyler Giles (Cheyenne); and her beloved grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.
