Kayla Lynn (Wilcox) O'Neal

Kayla Lynn (Wilcox) O’Neal, age 52, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away June 12, 2021 in Springfield. She was born February 23, 1969, in Springfield, and graduated from Parkview High School. Kayla attended Baylor University and graduated from Drury University with degrees in business and Spanish. During her working career Kayla worked in Minneapolis as Ford Division Manager for Manheim Auto Auction. She later began a career in insurance, working for General, Met Life, and Lockton Insurance Companies. Kayla was a serious runner, and ran both the Chicago and Kansas City Marathons. She had been water skiing since she was four years old, and loved to cook. Survivors include: Two children, Oliver Douglas O’Neal, and Avery Lynn O’Neal, and their father, Shawn O’Neal, all of Springfield; her father, Larry Wilcox and wife Brenda of Kimberling City; her mother, Georgia Wilcox of Springfield; a brother, Kory Wilcox and wife Elizabeth of Nixa; a sister, Jennifer Falter and husband Nathan of Springfield; a step-brother, Brandon Tinnon of Ozark; other relatives and her friends. A graveside service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 15, in Delaware Cemetery, west of Nixa, with Pastor Jim Mason officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kayla’s name may be made to C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue, 1328 W. Sunshine St., Springfield MO 65807.
