Donna Kay Scott, age 76, of Nixa, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday, July 6, 2017, surrounded by her family at home. She was born April 22, 1941, the daughter of Guy and Thelma ( Wilcox) O'Neil. She attended school in Ozark, and in 1955 the family moved to California. She graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario, California in 1959, and that same summer met the love of her life, a young Marine, Glenn Scott. They married June 11, 1960. In 1980 Kay and Glenn made their home in Nixa.
Kay was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. A prayer warrior, Kay read the Bible daily and prayed for family and friends. She was a Pregnancy Care Center volunteer. Kay enjoyed shopping, and the family enjoyed her excellent cooking. She collected cookbooks and antique dishes, and especially searched for Blue Danube china.
Above all Kay loved her Lord and her family. Survivors include: Her husband Glenn; three daughters and their spouses, Lisa and Roger Lewellen of Springfield, Kristina and Alan Parry of Nixa, and Cheryl and Jim Huson of Billings; grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Whitney, Rachel, Sarah, Lily, Sophia, Jude, Reagan, Stephanie, Alex, Jena, and Chelsea; great-grandchildren Bradley and Paisley; a brother Pat O'Neil; a brother-in-law Harry Dickerson; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Keith Scott; a sister-in-law Norma Scott Dickerson; her parents; and mother-in-law Gwendolyn Scott Gastin.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 15, in Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Springfield. Burial will follow in Richwood Cemetery, Nixa. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, July 14, at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
