Kay Lynne Myers, age 63, of Ozark, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017. Even as she courageously battled with cancer, Kay was able to touch many lives with her faith in God. She was born August 6, 1953 in Springfield, the daughter of Vernon Estal and Doris Imogene (Garrison) Parten. She was a 1971 graduate of Glendale High School. On April 1, 1972 Kay married the love of her life Steve Myers.
As a biblical model of a wife and mother, she always put her family in front of herself. Taking care of them was one of her greatest joys. She loved spending time horseback riding with her husband, shopping with her girls, and watching her grandkids play sports. Kay was a faithful member of James River Church where she enjoyed welcoming and loving many families. To know Kay was to love her. Her faith was contagious and people were drawn to her because of it.
Survivors include: Her husband, Steve; three daughters, Tina Sutherland and husband Chris, Tammy Myers, and Tonya Wofford and husband Matt, all of Ozark; and grandchildren, Chase, Garrett and Ethan Sutherland, and Jacob and Abby Wofford. At the death of her sister, Debbie Rose, Kay embraced Michelle Day and Kevin Rose as her own.
A celebration of life will be 6:30 PM, Thursday, March 30, in Clark Chapel, James River Church, South Campus. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
Memorial contributions may be made to Convoy of Hope in Kay's name.
