Kathye Charlene Kennedy-Bowers

Kathye Charlene Kennedy-Bowers, age 71, of Crane, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023.  She was born December 31, 1951 in Alton, Missouri, the daughter of Herbert and Willa (Manes) Stepp.  She received her GED in Poplar Bluff, and attended Three Rivers College and MSU, obtaining a Nursing Degree when she was 41 years old. 

Kathye enjoyed her work and being outside.  Along with her other duties on the farm she raised horses and goats, specializing in spotted nubian goats. 

Kathye's loved her family, and time spent with them was the most important thing in her life.  She jumped in to help anyone in need along with being just a little ornery. 

Survivors include:  five children, Garold Richards and Tonya of Conway, Rhonda Richards of Pleasant Hope, Rebekah Richards-Bowers and Douglas of Tampa, Florida, Chance Walton and Makenna of Hooten Town, and Skyler Walton and Kaysi also of Hooten Town; grandchildren, Geoffrey, Marrisa, Joshua, Laine, and Joseph; great grandchildren, Lilly, Aiden, Chancer, Dean, Oakley and Able. She was also looking forward to two additional great-grandchildren, Enzo and Meadow. Also surviving are two brothers, Rick Stepp and wife Barbara, and Timothy Jones and wife Jing; two sisters, Jewelene Ashton, and Beth Stovall; nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.

Kathye was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Willa; husband Garold Richards Sr.; and husband Arlene Kennedy; 

Visitation will be from 9:00AM until 11:00AM Friday, September 1, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.  The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM.  Burial will be at 3:00PM Friday in Cotton Creek Cemetery near Thayer, Missouri.
