Kathy Ebersole

Kathy Lynn Ebersole, age 70, of Highlandville, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018. She was born September 27, 1947, the daughter of Joe and Betty Mayberry. She grew up in Mt. Vernon, attended Sparta High School from 1960 - 1963 and was a 1965 graduate of Ozark High School. Kathy attended Draughons Business School. On March 15, 1966 she and Wayne Ebersole were united in marriage. Kathy worked in Springfield over 30 years. She worked as a legal secretary, was employed by area banks, Clarion Hotel, and held various other positions in the business community. She loved her family and friends and always enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of Chestnutridge Baptist Church. Volunteer work included the Pregnancy Care Center, and Heartline Hospice. Her love for others kept her always wanting to help those in need. Survivors include: Her husband, Wayne; a son, David Ebersole and wife Cheryl; two grandchildren, Hunter Ebersole and Kate Ebersole; a great-grandson, Eithen Suciu; two sisters, Mary Ann Davis and Linda Mayberry; other relatives; and many friends. Kathy was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Ebersole, two infant sisters, and her parents. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 15, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Mayberry Cemetery, Highlandville. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Thursday in the funeral home.
