Kathryn Lancaster

Kathryn Genevieve (Sobanski) Lancaster, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in Nixa, Missouri. She was born August 9, 1941 in Hartford, Connecticut to Doris (Chamberlain) and Stanley Sobanski. Kathryn married Robert Allan Lancaster March 19, 1960 in Newington, Connecticut. 

Kathryn was an avid quilter.   Loved making many quilts, purses, wallets all of which will be donated to a women's shelter per her request.

Surviving are her children, Michael of Nixa, Missouri and Susan (Brian) Glynn also of Nixa, Missouri; her sister Jeanette Nagy of New Britain, Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, son Robert, brother Herbert, sister Barbara.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Dr. Wade Bridges officiating. Visitation will be from 1-1:30 p.m. immediately before the service.  A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa and cremation rites were accorded by Adams Crematory.
