Katherine Anne Mauk

Katherine Anne Mauk, age 82 of Springfield, died Friday, December 22, 2017. She was born March 5, 1935 in Concordia, Kansas, the daughter of Marion and Vera Evelyn (Garner) Press. On May 26, 1951, Katherine was united in marriage to Claris Mauk. Claris preceded Katherine in death in 2002. Katherine completed her GED in 1972 and was a member of Selmore Christian Church. Katherine worked at Hagale Industries until her retirement. Survivors include: four children, Rachel Hale, Springfield, Gail Cotton and husband Gary, Bolivar, Linda Mauk, Phoenix, Arizona, Della Crosby, Springfield; a brother, Reverend Paul Press, Maine; two sisters Lynette Tindle, Galena and Jean Loomis, Chadwick; thirteen grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and three nephews, Larry, Jeff and Ken Davis. In addition to her husband, Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donald Press. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 immediately before the funeral in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
