Karen Renae Stockstill, age 57, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away on September 3, 2024. Born on November 14, 1966, she was the daughter of Richard Allen Nelson and Lorette Faye Wilson.
She attended Spokane and Hillcrest High Schools and enjoyed speed skating and softball during her school years.
Karen was united in marriage to Chuck Stockstill on December 24, 1984. Together, they shared a remarkable 40 years of marriage, working as a team in all they did. They excelled in construction and home remodeling, and were dedicated to coaching Little League baseball and Boys Club Basketball. Their partnership extended to their small family farm where they raised horses and chickens, despite Karen’s love/hate relationship with the chickens.
Karen took great pride in her role as a director of housekeeping for many years. She was known for her resourcefulness and simple, yet fulfilling lifestyle. Her love for animals was evident in her care for cats and her special affection for Boston Terriers, including her beloved Freckles and FiFi.
Karen was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her faith in the Lord sustained her through her health battles.
Karen will be remembered for her pride, kindness, and strong will. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by: her mom; Loretta Wilson, her husband; Chuck Stockstill, three sons; Thomas Richard Stockstill, Timothy Lee Stockstill, and Travis Allen Stockstill, and one sister; Sharon Jones.
Karen is preceded in death by her dad, Richard Allen Nelson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Cremation rites accorded by Adams Crematory.
