Julia Ann Kent, 56 of Alton, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on May 6, 2016. She was born on October 8, 1959 in Bakersfield, California.
She was preceded in death by her mother Willo Dean Kent, cousins, William Daniel, Cynthia Kent and her best friend Sheila Humphrey.
She is survived by her father Jimmie Lan Kent and stepmother Ellen Louisa Kent (Mammoth Spring, AR), Uncle James Dunham (CA), one sister Judith Warren (Mammoth Spring, AR), two half-sisters Leatrice Wallace (Farmington, AR), Elizabeth Simmons (Thayer, MO), one half-brother Cameron Kent (Mammoth Spring, AR), three daughters, Malynda Richardson (Strafford, MO), Aimee Tyler-Holt (West Plains, MO), and Sheela Simpson (West Plains, MO), eight wonderful grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Julia was known for her many talents in crafts. She was a very hands-on person, being one of the first women to be specially trained to use the equipment of her most beloved career, at Caterpillar. She was a very passionate Christian, having led many people to be saved in her time. She was a giving and compassionate woman; always willing to help another even in her hardest of times. Those traits have left an impact on all those she's touched. She will truly be missed.
