Judith Lee Bowles of Ozark, died on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, following a recent diagnosis of cancer. She was born in Lewes, Delaware on December 24, 1946, the daughter of Henry and Doris Wilson. The daughter of an Air Force Colonel, Judy lived throughout the world. College years took her to Japan, Hawaii, Texas and Nebraska.
Judy retired as a Major in the U.S. Air Force in 1991, after 21 years of service to her country. While serving in Thailand, she met and married James Lee Bowles, who was also serving actively in the U.S. Air Force. Following retirement from the Air Force Judy worked alongside her husband as a paralegal in Jim's law firm in Ozark. Judy enjoyed reading and loved her animals.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; a step-daughter, Christine Stinnett and husband Scott of Fairview Heights, IL; two grandsons, Noah and Tanner; and a sister, Wendy Wilson of Cottonwood, AZ.
According to Judy's wishes, no service is planned. Interment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
