Joyce Ann Gooch

Joyce Ann Gooch, of Nixa, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017. She was born November 22, 1945 to Joe and Lottie Ross, the third of seven children. Joyce was a 1963 graduate of Nixa, High School. The same year she married her high school sweetheart, Darl Gooch. Together they had two sons, Steven and Christopher. Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Steven, in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jane and Fount Gooch, a sister, Linda Sterling; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Shelia Gooch. Joyce is survived by her husband of 53 years, Darl Gooch; son Christopher Gooch and wife Amanda of Springfield; daughter-in-law Terri Gooch of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua and Hannah Gooch and Hunter and Mason Gooch; sisters, Carol Taylor, and Mary Fitzpatrick; brothers Robert Ross and wife Donna and Joseph Ross; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and confidant Judy Yarnell. Joyce was a very special lady, loved by all who knew her. She will be remembered for the loving and giving person she has always been. "Until we meet at Heaven's Gate, Sweetheart, I will love you forever." Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 13, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Joseph Fahl officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield. According to her wishes, no visitation is planned.
