Joseph Edward Strader, Jr.

Joseph Edward Strader, Jr., died September 29, 2024. He was born March 21st 1943 in Los Angeles, the son of Joseph Edward Strader, Sr. and Virginia Carlene (Boatman) Strader.

Survivors include: two children, Kris Thompson and Doug of Arizona and Glenn Strader and Ashley of Ozark; five grandchildren, Liz, Lauren, Lukas, Allysen and Ayden; three great grandchildren, Ellie, Logan and Myla; three brothers, John, Marc and Matt; and a sister, Patty. 

 In 1961, Mr. Strader graduated from Charter Oak High School in Covina, California in the first graduating class. 

 After high school, he retired from the Los Angeles County Traffic and Lighting department after 34 years.

Mr. Strader enjoyed the company of life long friends and making many new ones throughout his life. He enjoyed auto racing and was a part of many race teams, ranging from open wheel dirt, stock car, sports car and drag racing. Mr. Strader played baseball and softball in his younger years and followed baseball his whole life.

 Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
