Joseph Doyle Silvey

Joseph "Doyle" Silvey Spokane, Missouri passed away March 9, 2017 in Springfield at the age of 75. He was born December 24, 1941 in Longrun, Missouri to Sterling Silvey and Rae (Taber) Silvey. Doyle was united in marriage to Marjorie Burnell Orr on March 4, 1961. Doyle was a long time manager of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store in Nixa and retired from that position. He loved farming and raising Fox Trotters and teaching the grand kids to ride horses. He was a life time member of the Missouri Fox Trotters Horse Breed Association, Mid-America Horse Association, and National Breeders Cup. He was an avid Sucker Grabber. Doyle is survived by his wife of 56 years, Grandson, Brandon, and wife Katrina of Highlandville, two great grandchildren, Leikyn, and Mackinzye, brother-in-law, Matt Stone, sister-in-law, Joanne Hedrick, and husband George, and Tommie, and husband Roger Hall, and several nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Randy Silvey, and a sister Artilla Stone. A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 13, 2017 at Spokane Cemetery, Spokane.
