Joseph Michael Phillips-Clay, age 15 of Nixa, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014. He was born December 28, 1998 in Springfield, the son of Don and Ronda (Phillips) Clay.
Joseph was always surrounded by his friends. He was a selfless, loving child with a huge heart. Joseph was a mama's baby and brought joy wherever he went. He was looking forward to being a Sophomore at Nixa High School.
Joseph loved his bike, and spent many hours on it - off road sport and stunt riding.
Survivors include: his parents, Don and Ronda Clay of Nixa; his brothers, Brandon Phillips of Nixa, Blake Tillery of Nixa, and Chris Clay of Monett; his sisters, Danyel Stottlemire of Marionville and Whitney Brooks of Aurora; his grandparents, Hoyt and Gayle Clay of Billings, Jim Phillips and wife Ann Mullies of Pleasant Hope, and Sue Phillips and Matt Heaton of Nixa; his aunts and uncles, Robyn and Brandon Buckmaster of Springfield, Maria Phillips of Nixa, James and Bobbi Phillips of Pleasant Hope, Larry and Missy Amos of Oklahoma, and Ann Scroggins of Oklahoma; his cousins, Paige Wilder of Springfield, and Madison, Melissa and Alex Phillips of Pleasant Hope; his great grandmother, Melba Phillips of Pleasant Hope; many other extended family; and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday in Union Hill Church of Christ, Nixa, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Rick Flood officiating. Burial will follow in Smart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
Joseph may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
