Joseph Lyle Fegley, 52, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on May 1, 2018, surrounded by his family and friends. Joe was born on September 3, 1965 in Bloomington, Illinois to Karen Brooks Fegley and Tom Fegley. He married the love of his life, Lori Cave Fegley, on May 20, 1989. He is survived by his wife Lori and his children Kymberlee, Dakota, and BreAuna. He is also survived by his brother Zachary (Jani) Tucker, sisters Amanda (Justin) Tucker Cook, Debra Tucker, and Pam Tucker, aunt Linda (Robert) Peete, uncle John Fegley, aunt Sandy (Richard) Brooks Savage, step father Joel Tucker, and many cousins. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Brooks Tucker, his grandparents Joseph and Alberta Fegley and Kenneth and Virginia Brooks, and his brother Daniel Tucker.
He graduated from Missouri State (SMSU) with honors in the class of 1996. He was a man of many talents and interests. He was a teacher, a DJ, and an award winning insurance agent. He valued his clients, caring for them as if they were his own family. His radio personality name was Jay Mason when working for Rock 99 and US 97. He was a life-long St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. In recent years Joe and Lori have shared many adventures on their Honda Goldwing trike. Joe loved and was loved by so very many!
Joe's visitation will be from Noon until 2 PM on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Adams Funeral Home in Nixa. His memorial service will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home. Please feel free to wear St. Louis Cardinals or Hawaiian attire as Joe would be if he were still with us. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his family in care of the funeral home.
