John Lineberry passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the age of 75. John went peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on March 23, 1949, to John “Jack” and Lorraine Lineberry. He grew up on the family farm in Hale, Missouri. After graduating high school, John joined the United States Navy, where he proudly served for four years on the John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier.
After returning home from the Navy, John worked alongside his father on the farm for a year before moving to Kansas City and marrying his wife, Carol. John and Carol had two children, Clint and Monica.
They retired in Fremont Hills, in Missouri. In retirement, John loved going to Florida every winter with his Fremont Hills friends, listening to music, playing golf, dreaming of sports cars (he couldn’t have) and watching football with a grand pup on his lap. He always rooted for the Pittsburg Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
John is survived by his mother, Lorriane, his sister Jayne, his wife Carol, his son Clint and wife Jessica, his daughter Monica and husband Nathan, and his grandchildren John and Jake.
He is preceded in death by his father John.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri and cremation rites are accorded by Adams Crematory.
