John Greenville Lambert, age 89, of Spokane, passed away in the home he shared with his son and daughter-in-law on Friday, October 25, 2013. He was born October 24, 1924, in California, the son of John and Nevada (Kirkland) Lambert. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was wounded on duty in the Pacific. He was a civil service foreman for McClellan Air Force Base in California for 30 years before retirement. John was a life member of VFW Post 8762 in West Sacramento, California. He was always interested in trains. Survivors include: His son Danny Lambert and wife Marjorie of Spokane; two grandsons, Danny Lambert Jr., Boonville, and John J. Lambert, Cameron; other relatives; and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel, and his second wife, Ann Potter. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Friday, November 1, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Jack Keithley officiating. Burial will follow in Schupbach Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM on Friday until service time.
