Joe Ford

Joe Lester Ford, age 80, of Bruner, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. He was born January 8, 1939 in Bruner, the son of Ferill and Marguerite (Albert) Ford. Growing up, Joe was one of the "Bruner Boys" and had great time with his good friends. He graduated from Sparta High School and on July 10, 1959 he and Brenda Robertson were married. Joe was a farmer and raised cattle. He also worked as a machine operator for Fasco Industries . Joe's hobby was coon hunting. He also enjoyed telling jokes and the laughter that followed. If anyone needed a ride, they knew Joe would be there for them. Joe tried to attend every ballgame his children and grandchildren were involved with. He and Brenda enjoyed playing cards with friends, John and Margie Hull. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Susan Elizabeth, two grandsons, Gary Hansen and Steven Hansen, a brother Eugene Ford, and a young sister, Margie Ford. Survivors include: His wife, Brenda; two daughters and their husbands, Melinda and Mike Hansen of Sparta, and Paula and Mike Hyde of Sparta; four grandchildren, Mallory Hansen, Riley Hyde and wife April, Bailey Hyde, and Cooper Hyde; two granddaughters-in-law, Amanda Dameron and husband Sam, and Lindsey Hansen; great-grandchildren, Lydia Cheek, Natalie Cheek, Ellis Hansen, Alex Hansen, Penelope Hansen, Noah Dameron, Elijah Dameron, Layne Raines, and Reagan Hyde; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 2:00 - 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A graveside funeral will follow on Tuesday at 3:30 in Bruner Cemetery, with Pastor Troy Hull officiating.
