Jo Ann Waltrip

Jo Ann Waltrip, age 85, peacefully passed away in her home, on Sunday, March 25, 2012. She was born December 31, 1926, in East Saint Louis, IL. On July 6, 1950, Jo Ann was united in Marriage to her best friend, Robert L. Waltrip. Jo worked for the telephone company for many years, as an operator, and later as a secretary to company executives. When a friend or neighbor had a need, Jo would help or contribute to the need. Jo did not like to bring attention to herself, so many times no one knew she was the one person who made the difference. Her friends remember her as being a "classy lady"�. She loved to wear jewelry and look her best for her husband Bob, and worked hard to make her home a wonderful place. Jo is survived by her husband of 62 years, and was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. There are no services planned at this time.
