Jimmy L. Cole, age 72 of Ozark, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015. He was born October 13, 1942 in Grenada, Mississippi, the son of James and Janie Mae (Gentry) Cole.
On December 24, 1969, Jimmy married Betty Fillyaw.
Jimmy worked as a plumber most of his adult life. He served as a Deacon at Victory Baptist Church, Ozark. Jimmy was a Godly man, immersing himself in service to his church and to others.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty, of Ozark; three sons, Dwayne Cole and wife Faith, of Ozark, Chris and Michelle Cole, of Springfield and Matthew Cole, of Ozark; four grandchildren, Jacob Evans, Caleb Cole, Austin Cole and Anna Cole; three brothers, Norris Cole, Mike Cole and Blaine Cole, all of Mississippi; and a sister, Judy Winters, of Mississippi.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Angela Michelle Cole; a brother, Floyd Cole and a sister, Lucy Evelyn Busby.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Bob Long officiating. Burial will follow in McCoy Cemetery, Ozark. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
