"Jim" James Michael Brackney

James Michael Brackney, 33, of Springfield Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

James was born on February 3, 1989, in Springfield, MO; the son of James Brackney and Lori McClure. In his short life, James learned the importance of being the friend, a friend would like to have. He valued forgiveness, showing God’s grace, and kindness to creation above all else. He would choose to call over sending a text. He made time for friends, family, and often strangers in need, regardless of his schedule. He took in those with housing displacement, fostered pets, and helped others along the road of sobriety. James was a firm believer that no matter one’s situation or past, they could change, move forward, forgive, and deserved to be forgiven. James will be remembered for his heart’s work here on earth and the difference he made in the lives of those he loved and served.

He is survived by his parents, James Brackney and Lori McClure; his stepmother, Brandi Brackney; four siblings, Courtney Bundy, Cash Brackney, Grady Brackney, and Nichole Stephenson; grandparents David and Trish Inmon; cousin, Josh Smith; brother-in-law, Connor Bundy; four nieces and nephews, Blane Jones, Havyn Miller, Isaac Harmon, and Zayne Smith; his dear friends, loving girlfriend, and numerous extended family.

James was preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Brackney; grandaunt, Sherri Lyon; and his great grandparents, Cleo Davis and Ray Inmon.

A Funeral will be held for James at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 5^th, 2022, at Broadway United Methodist Church in Springfield Missouri, following a private burial at Delaware Cemetery in Nixa, Missouri.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Broadway United Methodist Church and the Southwest Missouri Area of Narcotics Anonymous.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Adams Crematory. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
