Springfield, MO – Jerry David Williams, 85, peacefully passed at home with his family bedside. He went to be reunited with his wife, his parents, and other loved ones on January 9th, 2022. Jerry was born February 17, 1936, in Springfield, MO to Curtice Eugene and Mary Gertrude (Gideon) Williams and the youngest of 13 siblings. He graduated from Springfield Central Senior High School. Served in the U. S. Army and honorably discharged in 1963.

Jerry worked long days and drove many miles as a route delivery driver/salesman for Gold Crown Food for over 50 years. He was working, making deliveries to Silver Dollar City when he met his wife of 54 years, Roberta. They were united in marriage in 1966 in Springfield. He brought his two sons, Bruce and Jim to their marriage. Then together with Roberta they had 2 sons and 1 daughter, Scott, Rebecca and Matthew.

Jerry was always excited and looking forward to the November deer season opening weekend. His sons and grandsons are forever grateful for passing the love of hunting and the outdoors down to them. For those that knew Jerry, he will be remembered for his “Jerry Jokes” and watching Westerns.

Jerry is preceded in death by his wife Roberta Ann (Scobee), parents, Curtice and Gertrude, and ten brothers and sisters.

Jerry is survived by his children, “Bruce” Wayne Williams of Sparta, MO, James “Jimmy” Leslie Williams of Springfield, MO, David “Scott” (wife Trena) Williams of Belton, MO, Rebecca “Sissy” Ann Lee of Springfield, MO and his most dedicated son and caretaker Jerry “Matthew” Williams, of the home, his sister Katy (husband Roland) Netzer of Springfield, MO, his brother, Fred (wife Clairann) Williams of Branson West, MO, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa, MO between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Graveside services will be held at Yocum Pond Cemetery, Reeds Springs, MO at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
