Jerry Miller, 73, died on December 12, 2020 with his wife, daughters and granddaughter by his side. In 1995 he was given 3 years to live, yet he showed his courage and determination in facing this battle with a smile. Despite the challenge, Jerry came out a hero and stayed strong until the very end.
Jerry was a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as a son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years Kathy, daughters Michelle Nelson (Rob), Samantha Werner (Rob), granddaughter Whitney (Chance), grandsons Caden and Will, and great-granddaughter Lucy. He was preceded in death by his parents Doyle Miller and Opal Reed and his grandson Mason Werner.
Jerry served in the Army during the Vietnam war. His career was spent in the petroleum industry. When he was forced to retire early Jerry didn't sit idle, he spent time learning about computers, photo editing and tying fly fishing flies. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, bass fishing and later fly fishing. Some of his greatest joys were teaching his daughters and grandkids how to fish.
