Jerry Hedgpeth, 67, of Clever, Missouri, passed away on March 4, 2025. He was born on January 19, 1958, in Springfield, Missouri, to Lawrence and Betty (Adams) Hedgpeth.
A 1976 graduate of Nixa High School, Jerry began building houses in the late 1970s and quickly became a highly skilled carpenter. Using his expertise, he founded Jerry’s Portable Buildings, a business that grew rapidly due to his dedication to quality craftsmanship. He took immense pride in constructing, moving, and setting up the best storage buildings in the area.
Beyond his work, Jerry was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and enjoyed gigging for sucker fish. He treasured time spent with family and friends and was known for his generosity and strong work ethic.
Jerry is survived by his sisters, Sandra (Lonnie) Littles and Beverly (Bob) Lewis; his brother, Linza Hedgpeth; nephew, Bradley Lloyd; aunt, June Shortt; special cousin, Terry Jim Hedgpeth; and many other cousins, extended family, and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Betty Hedgpeth; grandparents, Roy and Iva Hedgpeth; and uncle, Ward "Cotton" Hedgpeth.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers and support during this difficult time. Services will be announced at a later date
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. No services are planned at this time. Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
