Jerry Gilliam

Jerry Dean Gilliam, age 69, of Nixa went home to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, September 12, 2015. He was born January 24, 1946 in West Plains to Orville and Dorothy (Hanshaw) Gilliam. He was united in marriage November 20, 1964 to Margaret Essick. By trade Jerry was a sewing machine mechanic. His hobbies and interests included music, reading and Civil War history. His great love was his church and family. He will be greatly missed. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, maternal, and paternal grandparents. Jerry is survived by his mother Dorothy; his wife of 50 years, Margaret; his children Tracy, husband Daniel, Doug, wife Gretta, Aaron wife Dena; siblings Jim Gilliam, wife Theresa, Janis Hipsher, husband Don; eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Adams with burial to follow at Highlandville Cemetery, Highlandville.
