Jean Stewart

Jean Stewart, age 85, of Galena passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born March 28, 1932 in Nixa to Hershel and Mildred (Stewart) Keltner. Jean was united in marriage to Joe Bill Stewart March 28, 1950. Jean was a homemaker and loved raising flowers and working around the house. She loved taking care of her family and planning "get togethers" during the holidays and made them special by adding a theme to the events. Jean loved being a mom and grandma and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean loved to joke and have fun and was known to play a few tricks on friends. Jean loved the Lord and attended Ponce Pentecostal Church. Jean is survived by her children Larry Stewart, his wife Paula of Galena, Randy Stewart, his wife Della of Spokane and Becky Essick, her husband Mike of Ozark; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister Geri Fischer of Galena; and a host of other relatives and friends. Jean is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a great-grandchild Jaxson Rozell. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 15, 2018 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Schupbach Cemetery, Spokane.
