Jean (Jeanie) Ann Howard, 70, of Nixa, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2023.

She was born to parents James Thacker and Bettie (Thacker) Wood, on November 8, 1952 in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was the oldest of four girls and is survived by her three sisters, Judy Thacker, Pam Wissman, and Sheila Riffel as well as their many children and grandchildren. 

She married in 1969 and later divorced but was blessed with two children Stephanie (Howard) Sharick (husband Steve) and Jason J. Howard (wife Catrina) and is survived by her grandchildren Hunter Auvil (wife Madison Auvil), Jackson Sharick, Landon Howard, Sienna Howard, and her great granddaughter Indiana (Indi) Auvil. 

She graduated from Warrensburg High School in 1970. She went on to study at Sedalia School of Hairdressing in 1978 and Warrensburg Area School of Nursing in 1983 in which she obtained her cosmetology license and her license to practice nursing (LPN).

Jeanie had a long career in nursing in which she loved caring for children as a pediatric nurse. She also had great eye for decorating and was an interior design consultant at one point. She was creative and extremely artistic, she loved her family and Jesus more than anything in this world. She enjoyed reading her Bible and always knew how to make a person feel special with her warm heart and beautiful charm.

A private family visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.

Following visitation, cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory, Ozark.

Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
