Janet Gail Vandergriff

Janet Gail Vandergriff, age 71, passed peacefully at home on Friday, December 9, 2022 with her beloved family by her side.

Janet was born on June 2, 1951 in Potosi, Missouri to the late Eugene and Ida (Paul) Cresswell. On December 6, 1969, in Mineral Point, Missouri, Janet was united in marriage to Clarence William Vandergriff.

While caring for and raising her family, Janet worked her way through school and received her Bachelor of Nursing degree. A registered nurse spending the majority of her career at Conway Regional Hospital in Conway, Arkansas, she was the one everyone called for medical advice.  When not taking care of patients you were likely to find her working on the house or planting something in the yard.  Janet loved to travel, being on the lake with a pole in her hand, and digging her toes in the sand at beach.  She believed in hard work, doing the right thing, and treating others with kindness.

Janet was selflessly devoted to her family. She was a beloved wife, protective and nurturing mother, and adored grandmother. She loved deeply, and that love will forever be felt in the hearts of the treasured family she leaves behind. 

Janet was preceded by her parents and brothers Jeff Cresswell, Joe Cresswell, Gary Cresswell, and Jim Cresswell. She is survived by her husband Clarence Vandergriff, son Eric Vandergriff, daughter Shannah Vandergriff, grandson Tyler Page, and brothers Rodney Cresswell and Harold Cresswell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Arrangement are under the care and direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
