James Larry Rutherford

James Larry Rutherford, age 78 of Highlandville died May 22, 2019. He was born February 2, 1941 in Nettleton, Arkansas, the son of James Oneal and Wanda Lee (Gartman) Rutherford. In 1959, Mr. Rutherford was united in marriage to Jean (Newsom.) He worked for various chemical companies in sales. Mr. Rutherford enjoyed spending time mowing the pasture. He loved visits from his grandchildren. Mr. Rutherford was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Jean Rutherford; children, Gina Russell and husband James, John Rutherford and wife Sheri, Jeff Rutherford and Andra Davis and husband Kenny; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mr. Rutherford was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lavern Rutherford. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2019 at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 242 Pleasant View Road, Highlandville, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Dave Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in Flood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 immediately before the funeral in the church.
