James R. "Jim" Allen

James R. "Jim" Allen, age 78, passed away at his home in Spokane, Missouri passed on July 6, 2015. He was born February 9, 1937 in Ozark to William Isaac "Bill" Allen and Golda Johnson. He was united in marriage to Arlene Huntington January 21, 1956. Jim was a bus driver for the public school system in Ozark and Spokane. He was a farmer and rancher all of his life. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Arlene, three brothers; Wilford Allen, Dusty Allen, Dave Allen, one son-in-law, Ken Hartwigsen and one great grandchild, Thomas Angel Porter Survivors include: one daughter, Cindy Hartwigsen, of Verona, two sons; Danny Allen and wife Jo Mastin of Lebanon and Jimmie and wife Diane Allen of Spokane. Twelve grandchildren Danny Joe & Robin Moore, Lacey Maples & Jody Stutesmun, Chance Hood & Chelsey Lee, Tosha & Mike Porter, Shyann & Ben Irby, Logan Allen, Amanda & Geoff Hammer, James & Carrie Rantz, Amber Bell, Kenny Hartwigsen, Kevin & Ashley Hartwigsen, Lindsey Hartwigsen; and seventeen great grandchildren, DaKota Moore, Reece Maples, Daylen Stutesmun, Asher Porter, Kyrie Porter, Genna , Aurelia, Cora, & Emoree Hammer, Jackson Rantz, LeAndra Bell, Evan & Makenna Hartwigsen, Austin, Madison & Kason Hartwigsen, Quincy Hartwigsen. One Sister Annabelle Jackson; One Brother Fred & Mary Ann Allen. Special Friends John, Jana, Dakota and John Cole VanLoan. And a host of family and friends. With a special thanks to Mary Fuller with Haven Home Health & Therapy. Jim enjoyed spending time with family, his Grandkids were his pride, going to Rodeos & Chuckwagon Races, watching the PBR A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 9, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery, Ozark, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in the funeral home. Memorial donations in Jim's honor may be made to the Highlandville Saddle Club.
