James Willard Nations of Nixa passed away at his home March 13, 2017 at the age of 85. James was born on August 14, 1931 in Kennett, Missouri to Emmanuel Rudolph Nations and Mary (Fitzpatrick) Nations. James was united in marriage to Ruth Frame on June 10, 1954
James served in the U.S. Army as a Munitions Handler and served his country from 1948 to 1952. Following his time in the Army James was a carpenter for 40 years. James loved music and played guitar which included playing in the military. James loved to fish and hunt.
James is survived by his wife of 62 years, seven children, Jim Nations, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Rhonda Sneed, husband Jim of Nixa, Danny Nations, wife Ruth of Dawsonville, Georgia, Randy Nations, wife Camille of Lebanon, TN, Douglas Nations, wife Rhonda of Cartersville, Georgia, Rebecca (Richey) Nations, of Nixa, Heather Stevinson, husband Michael of Bowling Green, Missouri, 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and his cat, Blaze, and his dog, Molly.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. with funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri at 2:00 p.m. with full military rites. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
