James William "J.W." Gaddy passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024. He was born on December 18, 1961, to Jim and Roxie Gaddy. J.W. was united in marriage to his wife Diane Jo Johnson on February 14, 1986, sharing 34 years together.
J.W. was a devoted family man whose love for his kids and grandchildren knew no bounds. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he found immense joy in spending time with them.
J.W. was known for his generosity, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His good sense of humor and love for fixing things made him a cherished friend and neighbor.
J.W. had a passion for fishing, boating, jet skiing, and spending time at the lake with his family. He and his wife often traveled to Surfside, South Carolina, where they enjoyed deep-sea fishing together. An enthusiast of hot rods, J.W. loved working on cars and was once a proud member of the Kearney Street Cruisers.
Throughout his life, J.W. was a dedicated businessman, owning several ventures, including antique stores, a convenience store, a mechanic shop, a tow truck service, and a construction business called “Gaddy Construction.” J.W. put his heart and soul into everything he did, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and devotion.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Diane Gaddy; a daughter Mindy Flannigan and her husband Josh; a son Ted Gaddy and his wife Galina; a sister Sharon Jeselnik; a brother Phillip Gaddy; three grandchildren, Lily Flannigan, Graycen Flannigan and Sophia Gaddy.
J.W. is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Patricia Barnett.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri and cremation rites will be accorded to Adams Crematory.
