James Elliott Fresquez

James Elliott Fresquez, age 86 of Nixa, passed away December 3, 2021. He was born June 16, 1935 in Lincoln, New Mexico, the son of Elcedro and Mary (Vigil) Fresquez.

James served his country in the U.S. Marines. After his service, he worked as produce manager in the grocery industry. James enjoyed street rods and classic cars. He also enjoyed visiting casinos and antique stores. James was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include: his wife Linda Fresquez of Nixa; his children, Jimmy Fresquez of Nixa and Phyllis Walker of Nixa; grandchildren, Johnny Walker, Richard Walker, Michael Walker, Spencer Natith and Nastasha Natith; and a brother, Ernest Fresquez and wife Carolyn of California.

James was preceded in death by his parents; and other siblings.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 13, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Fr, Tom Reidy officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday before the funeral service in the funeral home. A funeral for James Fresquez will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 13, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. immediately before the funeral in the funeral home.
