James Lee Crume, age 65 of Sparta, Missouri died October 7, 2023. He was born December 13, 1957 in Rolla, the son of William C. and Jane (Kirk) Crume.
On June 7, 1980, James was united in marriage to Debra (Woodley).
James was a computer programmer/analyst for Phillips 66/Conoco Phillips until his retirement.
Earlier in his life James was a scout leader and volunteer for more than 20 years in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He also active in his church there and served as deacon, elder and Sunday school teacher.
James enjoyed golf and scuba diving.
Survivors include: his wife, Debbie Crume of Sparta, Missouri; his children, Bob Crume and wife Danae of Coppell, Texas and Jenni Burke and husband David of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Anna Crume and Clay Crume of Texas and Ryan Burke and Hannah Burke of Indiana; his sisters, Sue Vogt and husband Fred of The Woodlands, Texas and Betty Wells and husband Rick of Ozark, Missouri; his sisters and brothers in law, Denise and Darrel Blecha of Kansas, Doug Woodley of Oklahoma and David and Lisa Woodley of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Bill Crume and wife Louise and Bob Crume.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023 at Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Rolla, Missouri under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Lanny Smith officiating.
