James Robert Caskey, age 87, of Ozark, Missouri, formerly of Windsor, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021. He was born December 5, 1933, in Hume, Missouri, the son of James Alfred and Irene (Anderson) Caskey. On July 10, 1958 he and Alice Marie Hape were united in marriage.
James worked at Whiteman Air Force Base during most of his working career. He was a civil servant, worked in the kitchen, and was a dispatcher. He served as a no-nonsense mayor of Windsor for several years. James was a Master Mason and member of Blue Lodge. He and Alice were members of Clinton Chapter #73. O. E. S. James found the Lord at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church of Windsor,.
A man of few, yet impactful words, James had a passion for his family. Being together with family was most important in his life. He could be found fishing when time permitted.
Survivors include: His son, Robert Caskey and wife Jan, of Ozark; three granddaughters, Christina Jones and husband Jason of Independence, Cassandra Martin and husband Andy of Ozark, and Clairessa Caskey of Ozark; great-grandchildren, Connor Jones, Cyrina Arnold Donnelly and husband Austin, Drake Arnold, Cal Arnold, Andrew, Collin, and Jackson Martin; great-great-grandchildren, Bennett and Xander; two brothers, Leon Caskey and RayLee Caskey and wife Jeri; a sister-in-law Kay Caskey, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alice, in 2015, a sister Velma May and a brother Harold Caskey.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 23, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Dr. Phillip Burden officiating. Burial will follow in Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday.
