Dr. James B. Allison, age 79, of Ozark, passed away on May 20, 2013. He was born June 9, 1933, in Corsicana, Texas the son of Alice and O.W. Allison. "Jim"� graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1957. After completing his residency in Psychiatry in Texas, he moved to Springfield, Missouri, where he was in private practice for more than 40 years. He was a respected staff member at the Marian Center and served as Chief of Psychiatry for St. John"�s Medical Center for several years. Jim was an avid fan of Missouri State"�s Lady Bears, and a founding member of the Papa Bears Booster Club. He was also an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Jim loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed playing golf, fishing, gardening, watching sports and spoiling his dogs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his soul mate of nearly 40 years, Barbara Reno Allison; his first wife Colletta Chandler Allison; and his parents. Survivors include his daughters, Valerie Allison Rhine and her husband Bobby, Wichita Falls, Texas; Jamie Allison, Ozark; Paige Allison Nilsen and her husband Scott, St. Louis; and Heather Allison, St. Louis; grandchildren, Olivia and Jaden Nilsen, St. Louis; Allison Rhine and her husband, Josh, Wichita Falls; Charlie Rhine and his wife Chelsey, Silver Springs, Maryland; Kevin Rhine and his wife, Mehgan, Wichita Falls; and Betsy Rhine, Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Anna Claire and Crew; and a brother, Sam Allison and his wife Sharon, Waco, Texas. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 24, in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark, with Father Saviour Nundwe officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery, St. Joseph Section. Visitation and a prayer service will be 6:00 "� 800 PM Thursday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
