Jake William Lucas

Jake William Lucas, age 7, of Republic, passed away in his home on January 14, 2015. He was born in Springfield, the son of Harvey and Carrie (Collins) Lucas. Jake had a smile no one could resist, and he was loved by his family and everyone he came in contact with. His mother, father, sister Emma, and his nurses were the center of his world, he loved them so. He enjoyed music, horseback therapy and water. Survivors include: His parents, Harvey and Carrie Lucas; sister, Emma; grandparents, Donnas Lucas, Susan Gilliam, Sam Gilliam, and Mike and Cathy Collins; a great-grandmother, Frances Brewer; aunts and uncles, Kyle and Tasha, Lisa and Dot, and Nathan; cousins, Ashley, Dalton, Beckett and Sawyer. A grandfather, Harvey Lucas Sr. preceded him in death. The family would like to extend a thank you to the nurses and caregivers at Integrity for the wonderful care Jake received. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 17, in Wesley Downtown St. Paul Campus, 413 E. Walnut Street, Springfield. A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service. Memorial donations in Jake's name may be made to Families For Hope, in care of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
